HATTIESBURG – Southern Miss went through its first two-a-day workouts here Monday, going through two-plus hour workouts in each session. The Golden Eagles went through the morning workout in shoulder pads and shorts and then in full pads during the afternoon practice.
After the second workout, head coach Larry Fedora announced that freshman Dominique Sullivan of Taylorsville has been moved from quarterback to wide receiver.
“Right now, he knows that he’s going to redshirt as a quarterback,” Fedora added. “In talking to him, he wanted to see if he could get on the field. We talked about that and he said he would like to make that move right now to see what he could do.”
The Golden Eagles will conduct a single practice this afternoon.
