Vardaman product Odie Armstrong and his Arizona Rattlers teammates have advanced to the Arena Football League conference championship game for a third year in a row.
The Rattlers defeated the San Jose SaberCats 59-49 Sunday night in a National Conference semifinal. Armstrong, a fullback who played at ICC, scored the go-ahead TD to make it 49-42.
During the regular season, Armstrong scored 27 TDs, 25 of those rushing.
Arizona hosts Spokane on Saturday night for a berth in a third consecutive ArenaBowl game.
Arizona beat Philadelphia last year to win the AFL title after losing to Jacksonville in 2011.
