RODNEY MULLIKIN Rodney Allen Mullikin, 43, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009 at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Corinth. He was born May 8, 1965 to Randolph and Imogene Talley Mullikin. He was a member of Turners Chapel Baptist Church. He was a licensed Funeral Director at Ripley Funeral Home. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009 at Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Howard Goolsby was officiating. Burial was in Criswell Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Randolph and Imogene Mullikin of Ripley; three sisters, Sharon Stites (Scotty) of Ripley, Traci Hutcheson (Jason) of Ripley and Crystal Sanders (Jerry) of Pelham, Ala.; one brother, James Mullikin (Shelia) of Dumas; three nieces, Ashley Smith (Johnny), Abbey Mullikin and Julie Sanders; three nephews, Jake Sanders, John Sanders, and Andy Mullikin; one great-niece, Chloe Page; and one great-nephew, Jackson Smith. His grandparents: Bro. Spurgeon Mullikin and Katie Mullikin and Bro. C. W. Talley and LaDora Talley preceded him in death. Pallbearers were Wade Jeter, Nathan Stroupe, Randle Paseur, Jeff Carpenter, David Adams, and Stan Yancey. Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Ripley Funeral Home and the staff of West Clinic. She was born in Ripley on March 3, 1972. She was a cafeteria worker, worked in the food service business/industry. She was employed at Bolivar Central High School. She was a member of the Brint’s Chapel Baptist Church in Middleton. Services were Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Brint’s Chapel Cemetery with Adrian Knipper, Dennis Callahan, and Mike Benefield officiating. She is survived by her husband, Travis Dale Tranum, a son Michael Tranum, a daughter Chelsea Tranum all of Middleton, Her parents Kenneth Howell of Hickory Valley, Tenn., father-in-law Travis Tranum and wife Phyllis. She also leaves a brother Joey Howell and Sharon Turner both of Hickory Valley, Tenn., her grandparents Edna Vickers and husband Art of Middleton. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Deborah Fay Tranum, maternal grandfather Albert Hastings, and Elbert and Lula Howell. Memorial may be sent to Brint’s Chapel Cemetery Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
