Cash, electronic items taken in Blue Mountain school break-in

BLUE MOUNTAIN – Cash, cell phones, I-Pods and a digital camera were taken during a break-in at Blue Mountain School discovered Tuesday morning, according to Blue Mountain and Tippah authorities. No arrests had been made as of late Tuesday morning. The break-in was through a front window, according to County Investigator Jason Willis and Blue Mountain Police Chief Mac Lowery. About $100 was taken from the high school secretary’s office, and several I-Pods and cellphones were taken from the adjoining principal’s office. About $40 was taken from a lunchroom money box, and a digital camera was taken from a business education room. A key was also taken from a school bus, according to both men. There was no other damage done to the school, and no other buildings appear to have been entered.
