Supervisors mull leash law request

RIPLEY – At their meeting earlier this month, Tippah County Board of Supervisors took under advisement a request from Steve Zucarelli of Ripley that the county pass a leash law. Zucarelli, who is disabled, told the board that loose dogs are a nuisance, and sometimes a threat, to him as he rides his hand-powered cycle on municipal and county roads. He told the board he rides about 3,000 miles yearly. His three-wheel cycle puts him close to the ground, well within the reach of the dogs that often chase him.
