Reward offered for burglary/assault suspects’ IDs

RIPLEY – A $6,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of two suspects in connection with the burglary and assault of a woman at her residence about mid-afternoon Thursday, May 7, Ripley police said this week. Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000 for information that breaks the case. An additional $5,000 is also being offered by a private donor. Police ask that anyone with information regarding this case contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS (8477). The two pictures used with an article in the Wednesday, May 13 issue of the Southern Sentinel are computer-generated composite sketches developed by authorities based on information provided by the victim. The suspect who committed the assault, termed Suspect No. 1 by authorities, is described as a white male, about 6-2, with wavy-curly light brown hair about to the ears and down to about the eyes. He has a missing left upper tooth, and had sores on his face and a sore on his right elbow. He had greasy hands and fingernails. He also had dark facial stubble and appeared very thin. He had darker skin – as if he worked outside – and had a good tan. He was wearing a white T-shirt with yellow stains under the arms, and khaki shorts. The other suspect, termed Suspect No. 2, is described as about 5-9, and about 250 lbs. He was bald on top with brownish hair on the sides. He had reddish-pink skin tone. He was wearing ripped jeans and an AC/DC shirt.
