Couple charged after marijuana found in home

RIPLEY – A Ripley couple faces charges after authorities found a quarter-pound of marijuana in their house this week, County Investigator Jason Willis said Thursday morning. Trent D. Edgeston, 27, and his wife Melissa Edgeston, 27, are each free on $10,000 bond after being charged with felony possession of marijuana. Trent Edgeston is also charged with disorderly conduct, Willis said. “The Tippah County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at the couple’s home on Peachwood. Marijuana was found in the living room, kitchen and master bedroom, along with two digital scales. “Tippah Narcotics Investigator Tommy Garrett was in charge, assisted by myself, Chief Deputy Roy Shappley, deputies Chris Hodges and Kenny Turner, and Ripley Police Narcotics Investigator Ken Walker,” Willis said.
