Drive-by: Shoney’s in Tupelo 11/9/12
Hamp and Blair Hughes are converting Shoney’s in Tupelo into Restaurant South. Blair Hughes, who owns Park Heights, said the new restaurant will serve upscale soul food.
She hopes to open the restaurant in February.
Work starts on Gap outlet in Tupelo
Tupelo is getting a Gap Factory Store, in case you haven’t heard.
The factory store is going in the former Circuit City – Furniture Center – Spirit Halloween store, which is next to Old Navy. The plans call for a remodel of the interior and exterior of the building.
We swung by Wednesday and the Halloween stuff is gone. Crews are in the process of converting the store, which is slated to open in 2013.
