Mississippi State’s football game against Kentucky has been picked up as part of ESPN’s Thursday night package.

The Bulldogs and Wildcats will meet Oct. 24 in Starkville, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

It’s one of seven home games for MSU next season, and its first Thursday night game since playing two in 2011. MSU students will be out for fall break beginning the day of the game.

State has an off week prior to playing Kentucky, and the following game is a road trip to South Carolina on Nov. 2.

The Bulldogs begin spring practice March 21 and hold their spring game April 20. The regular season begins Aug. 31 against Oklahoma State.
