18-year-old faces aggravated assault charges after Tupelo grocery store parking lot stabbing

The Tupelo Police Department announced Monday an 18-year-old Tupelo woman is facing aggravated assault charges in connection with a stabbing at the Kroger parking near Crosstown this past weekend.

Virginia Flores will be arraigned Tuesday.

According to police, Flores allegedly attacked a female she knew by slashing the other person in the throat area when both were in the grocery store parking lot around noon Saturday.

The victim was treated and released from North Mississippi Medical Center.

No other information was released.
