BUCKHORN – Jerry L. “Mutt” Wolfe, 70, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at his home after a long illness. He was a longtime resident of the Buckhorn community. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Bro. Jr. Ritchie will officiate. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Nolene Washington Wolfe; his mother, Louise Wolfe of Lake Providence, La.; daughters, Christy Rudolph (Cliff) of Bartlett, Tenn., and Glenda Byars (Kenny) of Gulf Shores, Ala.; sons, Jerry L. Wolfe Jr. and Mark N. Wolfe, both of Memphis; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Joe Wolfe (Wilma) of Mt. View, Ark.; and sister, Martha Ann Holt of Lake Providence, La.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sipes H. Wolfe, and a brother, Sipes H. “Pete” Wolfe Jr.
Pallbearers will be Zane Davidson, Kenny Byars, John Albert Logan, Danny Gregory, David McPherson and Dennis Pritchet. Jake Weldon will be an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday.
ABERDEEN – Mavis Houston, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Pontotoc Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen.
MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – Nancy Powell Kelley passed away at her home in Miramar Beach, Fla. Born in Memphis on Aug. 2, 1947, she graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Tennessee. She was president of the Pi Mu Music Society of St. Louis and a member of the Beethoven Club of Memphis. She was a partner with her mother in the Doctors Exchange Answering Service for many years. Pursuing her interest in child health issues, she joined the LeBonheur Club of Memphis in 1989, serving in many capacities until she became its president in 1999. After moving to their new home in Sandestin Resort, she volunteered for various duties at Sacred Heart Hospital Emerald Coast and Sacred Heart Foundation where she served as the inaugural chair of the Foundation’s Development Board. She also served on the hospital’s Operating Board. She was a significant part of the planning for the new Family Birthing Center at Sacred Heart.
She is survived by husband, John C. Kelley of Miramar Beach, Fla.; her daughter, Amy E Kelley of Miramar Beach; her son, John Bradley Kelley, daughter-in-law, Margaret Kelley, and granddaughter, Eliza L. Kelley of Memphis; and her mother-in-law, Louise W. Kelley of Spring Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marian P. Powell, and her mother, Lena O. Powell; and her father-in-law, John C. Kelley Sr.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Community Church of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. A public viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at historic Gulf Cemetery in Santa Rosa Beach. Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home in Freeport, Fla., is in charge of the arrangements.

NETTLETON – Maylene Sullivan Edwards, 70, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at her home after an extended illness. She was born June 22, 1942, in Itawamba County to Kirby and Lena Mae Hall Sullivan. A native of Itawamba County, she had lived in Nettleton for the past 39 years. She was a homemaker and a member of South Nettleton Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, talking on the telephone and being with her family and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with the Rev. Bryan Burge and the Rev. Horace Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Bobby Edwards of Nettleton; one sister, Nelda Barnes (Horace) of Nettleton; two brothers, Jimmy Sullivan (Peggy) and Elbert Sullivan, all of Nettleton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Florene Sullivan Mears; and one brother, Clinton “Buddy” Sullivan.

TUPELO – Heather C. Burns, 29, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at her residence in Tupelo. She was born July 21, 1983, in Tupelo to Keith G. “Jerry” Burns Jr. and Sara Phyllis Burns. She was an avid reader and enjoyed learning. She loved spending time with her family, animals and working with flowers. Also she enjoyed writing poetry, listening to music and watching movies. She attended New Hope Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with the Rev. Danny Balint officiating. Burial will be at Tupelo Memorial Park.

TUPELO – Clemie Standifer Williams, 90, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Tupelo Nursing & Rehab. She was born April 9, 1922, in Lee County to Chalmus and Armendia Beane Standifer. She was a faithful member of People's Community Church until her health failed.

David V. Wigginton
GUNTOWN – David V. Wigginton 64, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was an expert auctioneer and real estate broker. He attended Hillcrest Church of Christ. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening, his dogs and reading. Known as “Poppa Wigg,” “Poppa,” “Uncle Wiggin” and “Big Wigg,” he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. He was a friend to many and loved by all who knew him.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Waters Funeral Home with Minister Tim Childs officiating. Burial will be in Campbelltown Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jan Gillentine Wigginton of Guntown; one daughter, Jennifer Beth Henderson (Paul) of Birmingham, Ala.; one son, Nathaniel Wigginton (Brittany Griffin) of Saltillo; four grandchildren, Jake, Matthew and Nathan Henderson, all of Birmingham, and Skylar Brooke Griffin of Saltillo; and one brother, Grady Wigginton (June) of Guntown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Ara Melson Wigginton.

RIPLEY – Nedra Darlene Nance Nabors, 54, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was born June 1, 1958, to Kay Chapman Nance and the late Darrell Nance. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Ripley and a member of the choir. She was principal at Ripley Elementary School.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Nabors of Ripley; two daughters, Loren Nabors and Jennifer Nabors, both of Ripley; one son, Jonathan Nabors of Ripley; her mother, Kay Chapman Nance of Ripley; two brothers, Nickey Nance (Karen) and Torri Nance (Dena), all of Ripley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
