The damage was not widespread, but those affected were hit hard.
Businesses in the Huntington Square shopping center off McCullough Boulevard in Tupelo received significant damage.
The entire facade was blown off The Furniture Center there.
Lee County Emergency Management Director Lee Bowdry said other businesses in the shopping center with damage were Jump Tupelo, Trails and Treads, and The Health Food Store.
Bowdry said workers cleaned up fallen trees from McCullough Boulevard.
Power lines were reported down across Mahogany Drive. Trees and power lines were reported down on County Club Road.
In Pontotoc County, Emergency Management Director Rickey Jaggers reported 20 houses and four businesses received damage.
Two houses were severely damaged by fallen trees in the area of Bolton Street and Clark Street.
No injuries were reported.
