TUPELO - A Tupelo woman charged with aggravated assault was given a $50,000 bond Tuesday.

Virginia Flores, 18, of Tupelo, was charged with aggravated assault Saturday.

The charges stemmed from a stabbing in the Kroger parking lot on West Main Street.

She was arraigned by Lee County Justice Court Judge Rickey Thompson and is in the Lee County Adult Jail.

Capt. Rusty Haynes of the Tupelo police department said the alleged stabbing took place around noon Saturday.

The women who sustained a facial wound in the incident was treated at the North Mississippi Medical Center and has been released.
