MSU plummets, Ole Miss rises in latest rankings

Mississippi State fell 10 spots to No. 13 in the latest Baseball America poll released Monday, while Ole Miss was bumped up one spot to No. 6.

The Bulldogs (17-2) lost two of three at home to Central Arkansas over the weekend, including a 7-3 decision on Sunday. They fell one game shy of tying the school record for best start to a season.

Ole Miss (16-1) went 5-0 last week, including a three-game weekend sweep of Lipscomb. The Rebels have won nine in a row since losing a one-run game to Memphis on Feb. 26.
