Nunnelee, a state senator from Tupelo, is challenging Democratic U.S. Rep. Travis Childers for Mississippi's 1st District seat in the Nov. 2 election. Seven third-party and independent candidates also are on the ballot.
The Commercial Appeal reports that Boehner and Republican Sen. Roger Wicker joined Nunnelee at a stop in Southaven, which drew a crowd of about 100 on Thursday. Boehner told the crowd Democrats haven't kept their promises.
In a news release, Childers' campaign called Boehner out-of-touch for supporting such issues as the privatization of Social Security and the Wall Street bailout.
