A Corinth man charged with depraved heart murder in 2008 in connection with an auto crash that killed a Byhalia man and injured his wife and son was sentenced to 50 years in prison.

Justin Scott Hill, 30, pleaded guilty to culpable negligence manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and DUI with mutilation.

Circuit Judge Jim Pounds imposed the maximum sentences on Tuesday, including 20 years for the manslaughter charge, five years for leaving the scene and 25 years for DUI with mutilation, to run consecutively.

William Marion, 41, was killed in the Thanksgiving Day accident with his wife, Susan, and toddler son, Ian, in the car.

Susan Marion testified at the sentencing hearing.
