PONTOTOC — Delta Furniture Company, manufacturer of upholstered living room furniture, has announced it will expand its operations in Pontotoc, Miss., and create about 50 new jobs.

The company will relocate from its current 100,000-square-foot facility into an existing 220,000-square-foot city-owned facility, also located in Pontotoc. Company officials say they will invest more than $590,000 over the next three years.

The Mississippi Development Authority provided funding for public building improvements. The City of Pontotoc also provided funding for public infrastructure improvements.

Delta Furniture Company was founded in 2009 in Pontotoc, and the company has since grown to more than 50 employees.
