This weekend doubles the pleasure of tailgating on campus with two full days of tailgating in the Grove. The Grove usually opens for tent setup at 10 p.m. on the night before game days, but because the university is closed this week, tailgaters may begin claiming space for their celebrations at 7 a.m. today.
At 6 p.m. today, the Ole Miss men's basketball team will take on Penn State at Tad Smith Coliseum.
From noon to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Ole Miss Alumni Association will open a "members only" hospitality room in the Triplett Alumni Center, offering refreshments, football and fellowship. Santa will visit from 1 to 4:30 p.m. to take photos with the kids.
The Walk of Champions is set tentatively for 3:40 p.m., when the Rebel football team makes its way through the Grove to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
