The bond for Alberto Luis Naranjo was reduced from $100,000 to $40,000, and he was released this week after posting the bond, reported the Banner Independent.
Several additional stipulations of the release included an order that Naranjo not have any contact with city employee Bradley Cain – the shooting victim – and former chamber of commerce director Rhonda Greening. He also must maintain regular employment and surrender his passport to the chancery clerk.
Naranjo, 36, was charged with aggravated assault at the scene of the Oct. 15 shooting in which Cain suffered three gunshot wounds. Cain and Greening had been setting out traffic control cones for the city’s fall festival when the two men reportedly fired at each other.
Cain, 40, also was later charged with assault.
Two handguns, one allegedly owned by each man involved in the shooting incident, were recovered by authorities, and each had been fired.
