Also injured in the wreck was Favian Lopez of Booneville, who was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center for treatment.
The car driven by Lopez was struck on the passenger side by a pickup truck when Lopez failed to yield right of way on Red Bud Road at Mississippi Highway 25, according to reports.
Montanez-Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Belmont Police Department are conducting the investigation.
