The trial of Caleb Corrothers is now scheduled for March 21 in Oxford.
The Oxford Eagle reports the change of venue is of several pretrial motions filed by public defender Josh Turner. Circuit Judge Andrew Howorth has not ruled on the motions.
Turner says the trial should be moved because of media coverage of the deaths, especially because Corrothers is black and the victims were white.
Corrothers is charged with two counts of capital murder in the July 18, 2009 shooting deaths of Frank and Taylor Clark at their home. Corrothers also is charged with aggravated assault in the wounding of Tonya Clark, the wife and mother.
