RIPLEY – Deputy DeWayne Crenshaw’s widow, Jane, has received a Medal of Honor Award plaque from the American Police Hall of Fame and Museum in memory of her husband, who was shot to death in the line of duty in Tippah County in early December.

The posthumous award, several medals, a special flag and a benefit check were all part of an honor package from the organization.

DeWayne Crenshaw’s name will be engraved on the Hall of Fame’s Memorial Wall in Titusville, Fla., that lists the names of officers killed in line of duty.
