Shavontae Monshae Boone and Jermeka Crockett, no ages listed, were indicted recently by a federal grand jury on two counts that they passed the bills at McDonald’s on South Gloster, where they worked.
They are accused of conspiracy to defraud.
If found guilty on both charges, each man faces up to 20 years in prison and $500,000 in fines.
Boone was released Wednesday on a $10,000 bond.
The men are due to hear formal charges against them Friday before Magistrate Judge Jerry A. Davis in Aberdeen.
