TUPELO - TV and movie star Bam Margera will host this year's Minerva Music Festival in Tupelo, festival organizers announced.

Margera had his own reality show, "Viva La Bam," on MTV, and his "Jackass" stunt show was made into two movies, the most recent of which was released on DVD on Tuesday.

The Minerva Festival will be Aug. 6 at Ballard Park. Tickets for the hard rock music festival are on sale now and are $35 for general admission or $200 for a VIP ticket, which will allow access to the VIP lounge and meet-and-greets with Margera and bands that perform on the main stage. A portion of proceeds will go to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.

The Minerva Fest music lineup will be announced in April. For more information, visit minervamusicfest.com.
