The accident took place on East Main Street around 11 p.m. Wednesday. The driver of the vehicle in the accident was charged with a DUI.
The Lexus sport utility vehicle that crashed through the building had a Shelby County, Tenn., license plate.
Tupelo Police said it appears the driver lost control of the vehicle. Only minor injuries were suffered.
The accident is under investigation and no names have been released.
