Head coach Dan Mullen sent his squad through extended scrimmage drills to help set the scene for the spring game.
"We just scrimmaged a lot to get a lot of stuff we needed to get done and get cleaned up today," said Mullen. "And we did that. The spring game is going to be a lot of different stuff and a lot of different guys playing. So we wanted to get that last look at some guys today."
With the Bulldogs splitting up teams for Saturday, Mullen said he is anxious to see how some of the less experienced guys react to playing in front of a big crowd at Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday as part of Super Bulldog Weekend.
"Mainly (I want) to see how guys perform at the stadium," Mullen said. "We're gonna put 40,000 people in the stadium and it is a little different than just being out here in practice. There are a lot of guys that are gonna have to play for us that have not been in live game situations in front of big crowds. So I want to see how they respond."
