Tupelo High School basketball manager Amanda Aldridge was named the Most Valuable Player for the 2010-11 season during Tuesday’s Lady Wave awards banquet.

Aldridge was named homecoming queen during football season.

The other awards presented by outgoing coach Stephanie Murphy were: Lady Wave Award, Erin Hadley; Rookie of the Year, Casey Marshall, Jaleigha Polk; Best Offensive Player, Chy Cunningham; Best Defensive Player, Bria Ruff; Best Rebounder, Dasia Mosely; Heart of A Champ, Antionette Riddle; Most Improved, Faith Cook; Scholar Athlete, Elise Friloux; Letter Winners, Faith Cook, Chy Cunningham, Elise Friloux, Antionette Riddle, Bria Ruff.
