Seventeen teams from the Daily Journal’s coverage area begin their first-round best-of-three series this weekend. In Class 1A, four of those teams will be going head to head:
Tremont will take on West Union and Smithville will tangle with last year’s state runner-up, Myrtle.
Meanwhile, 10 area teams received a first-round bye for winning their divisions. They will get their chance to participate in the postseason beginning next Friday.
