TUPELO - The Tupelo Public School District is still reviewing applications for all of its current principal openings, including Tupelo High School, and has not yet made any decisions on who will fill those spots, said Interim Superintendent David Meadows.

The district had previously announced that Tupelo High Principal Lee Stratton would be reassigned to a principal's job at another school in the district, although the person it named to take Stratton's spot decided to remain at his current job instead.

The district has not said whether that means that Stratton will remain at THS or where he will be assigned. The district also has principal openings at Carver, Pierce Street and Thomas Street Elementary Schools, where the current principals are retiring.
