Sammy Jones, 40, is charged with grand larceny and two counts of burglary in connection with a Wednesday car theft in Verona. He was in jail Thursday awaiting a hearing.
The vehicle was found in Shannon on Wednesday but the suspect was not in it.
Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said Jones was spotted by police Thursday morning and arrested shortly after without incident. More charges could be added.
