Check in is at 7 a.m. with shot-gun start at 8 a.m. Participant green fees will be provided by Starkville Optimist club and lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided at no charge to competitors.
Winners in the qualifying tournament will advance to the Alabama-Louisiana-Mississippi District qualifying championships with financial support from the Starkvillle district Optimist club.
Optimist Junior Golf involves more than 5,000 junior golfers in over 45 district tournaments throughout North America. This year’s international championships will be held in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
