Smith’s return sparks Rebels against SE Missouri State

OXFORD – Ole Miss senior outfielder Matt Smith returned to the lineup on Tuesday and went 4-for-4 with three RBIs to help the Rebels down Southeast Missouri State 10-6.

Ole Miss (29-23) collected 14 hits in the contest as Miles Hamblin and Matt Snyder both added home runs.

Trent Rothlin (3-0) picked up the win in relief for the Rebels. Rothlin worked three scoreless innings and allowed four hits with four strikeouts.

Ole Miss travels to Arkansas this weekend for a three-game series beginning Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
