Anderson, 40, was sentenced Monday by Senior U.S. District Judge Neal B. Biggers.
After his release from prison, Anderson will remain under federal supervision for another five years.
He was indicted May 20, 2010, on one count that he possessed computers containing images of child pornography that were shipped across state lines.
He faced up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
