A small piece of metal debris in the foreground remains lodged into the gutter of the Waycaster home on Gum Street in Smithville on Wednesday. Despite being in the direct path of the April 27th tornado, the home received little damage except for a few broken windows and other small debris impacts. Pictured at left is Cory Waycaster, 22, who sought refuge in a hall closet as the tornado passed over shaking and creaking the house. His father Randal Waycaster, right, fearing the worst arrived home from work an hour later making it through several blocks of destruction to find his son safe and all the home's contents unbroken.
