Tupelo’s Wilson Reeder shot a 9-over 81 on Thursday in the second round of the 39th Southern Junior Championship at Dallas Athletic Club in Highland Park, Texas.

Reeder, who’ll be a senior this fall at Tupelo High School, was in a three-way tie for second after an opening-round 68. Thursday’s round dropped him to a four-way tie for 28th.

After an opening round with seven birdies and three bogeys, Reeder’s Friday round had two birdies and seven holes over par, including one triple bogey.

Reeder (68-81–149) will tee off at 8 a.m. today. Corbin May (76-77–153) also made the cut for the final round. Tupelo’s Austin Rose (76-82–158) and Baldwyn’s Tucker Jenkins (80-90) failed to advance.
