Carroll County Sheriff Jerry Carver tells the Greenwood Commonwealth that 30-year-old Dan McGill was arrested at his home Sunday by deputies and Greenwood police.
McGill has been charged in the death of 32-year-old Jeffery Johnson of Greenwood whose body was found Saturday in a Greenwood street. . Police say Johnson died of a gunshot wound.
Greenwood Police Chief Henry Purnell says Johnson was able to talk with officers before he died at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
Purnell says it appears the shooting was the result of an argument between the two men.
