STARKVILLE – Mississippi State’s football team will report for preseason camp Aug. 1 and begin drills Aug. 4, the school said Thursday.

The first three practices will be open to the public and media. Two-a-days begin Aug. 9.

MSU is allowed 29 practices before opening the season at Memphis on Sept. 1. The Bulldogs are coming off a 9-4 season in which they beat Michigan in the Gator Bowl and finished with a No. 15 Associated Press ranking.
