The Okolona native his coming off a career-best season where he started in 11 of 12 games to record 64 tackles (40 solo; 24 assist), five pass deflections, one interception returned five yards, and forced two fumbles from his safety position before being sidelined with a knee injury.
His best game of the season came in during a Week 8 37-25 loss to the Detroit Lions when recorded right tackles (7 solo; 1 assist) and one pass deflection.
The 26 year old was drafted by the Redskins in the sixth round of the 2008 National Football League (NFL) Draft and is the second former ICC player to sign with a NFL team since the end of the lockout joining two-time National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American Pernell McPhee who signed with the Baltimore Ravens in July.
Moore earned NJCAA All-American honors as a sophomore in 2005 and was named Southland Conference (SLC) Newcomer of the Year in 2006 before earning SLC Defensive Player of the Year and Associated Press All-American honors in 2007 at Nicholls State.
