Two Lee County homes were completely destroyed by fires before noon on Monday.

The first fire was on Lee County Road 1001 near Plantersville at about 8 a.m. No one was injured but the home was a total loss.

Union, Mooreville/Eggville, Richmond and Plantersville departments responded to the blaze.

Hours later, at about 11:55 a.m., a call came in to 911 about a fully-involved house fire at 1049 Highway 145 between Guntown and Baldwyn.

Guntown, Baldwyn, Saltillo, Cedar Hill and Unity-Fellowship fire departments were still battling the blaze about an hour later.

The family inside ran to safety and were OK. The house was also a total loss.

Both fires are under investigation to determine the causes.
