Cody Slaughter
Brandon Bennett, who won the Memphis Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Competition in 2008, will star as Elvis in the musical's six-month run in Chicago, said Stephanie Coomer at the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Cody Slaughter, who won both the Tupelo and Memphis competitions this year, will star as Elvis in the "Million Dollar Quartet" American tour. The tour includes a stop in Memphis at the Orpheum on Feb. 14-19, 2012.
"Million Dollar Quartet" tells the true story of a jam session between Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins at Sun Studios in Memphis in 1956. The quartet has been called one of music's first supergroups.
