4-wheel riders discover body near Starkville

STARKVILLE — Oktibbeha County Sheriff Dolph Bryan says it appears a woman had been dead for some time before her body was discovered Sunday.

The body was found by a group of people riding all-terrain vehicles near Oktibbeha County Lake, northwest of Starkville.

Authorities were awaiting an autopsy and did not immediately release the woman's name.

The body was discovered near some electrical transmission lines near County Lake Road and Harrell Road.
