STARKVILLE – Mississippi State will hold a groundbreaking ceremony today for its new football-only complex. The ceremony begins at noon and will be held at the Brice Griffis Boardroom in the Palmeiro Center.

The Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex is expected to be completed in about 15 months. The projected cost of the 80,000-square foot facility is between $20-25 million, and most of that money has been raised.

MSU announced Wednesday that the general construction contract was awarded to JESCO, Inc., of Fulton.

The complex will be built on unused land between the Palmeiro Center and the football practice fields.
