FULTON - Itawamba Community College men’s head basketball coach Marty Cooper has announced the addition of Parade All-American D.J. Gardner of Okolona to his 2011-12 roster.

Gardner, who originally signed with Mississippi State University, averaged 32 points and 10.3 rebounds for Coach Bobby Ford in his final season at Okolona to become the first male basketball player in Northeast Mississippi to earn First team All-American honors from Parade Magazine.

Cooper also announced on Tuesday, the Indians will host a free-to-the-public scrimmage against Freed Hardeman University on Friday, October 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Davis Event Center on the Fulton campus of Itawamba Community College and will participate in a scrimmage at the University of North Alabama on Saturday, October 22 with opponents to be announced at a later date.
