After the worst season in franchise history, you might wonder if the Houston Astros would make any changes to its coaching staff – including

third base coach Dave Clark, who was a star at Shannon High school.

But general manager Ed Wade has invited manager

Brad Mills and all of the Astros’ coaches back for 2012.

“It’s a work in progress, and it’s going to continue to be a work in progress,” Mills said after his team lost 8-0 to St. Louis on Wednesday night.

Houston finished the year 56-106, the first time the franchise had lost more than 97 games in a season.

Clark, 49, served as interim manager of the Astros at the end of the 2009 season.
