The Whimsey is part of Nautical Whimsey, an Italian bistro and restaurant in the alley off Main Street.
Amanda Knuckles owns both businesses, which are connected for customers.
The Whimsey is in the space previously occupied by The Studio at GumTree, which has moved across the street.
The bar offers 40 types of wine, which are sold by the glass, according to bartender Kris Bell. The Whimsey also specializes in whiskey, cocktails and other mixed drinks.
