OLIVE BRANCH — A suspect in a fatal shooting and robbery at Mi Pueblo restaurant in Olive Branch has pleaded guilty to murder and has been sentenced to life in prison.

The Commercial Appeal reports Jesus Adilio Rivera Castro pleaded guilty last week in DeSoto County Circuit Court in the death of assistant restaurant manager Alejandro Gonzalez. Gonzalez was shot in the head on May 25, 2010, during an armed robbery.

Castor is one of three men charged in the case.

A second defendant, Benito Hernandez, is charged with capital murder in Gonzalez's murder. No date has been set for his trial.

State officials are seeking extradition for Pedro Cruz Pina, who fled to Mexico after the shooting.
