Tupelo police say Dewayne L. Brown, 21, of 840 Barley Courts, Tupelo was arrested by U. S. Marshals in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Brown was wanted in connection the October 17th shooting of another person during an altercation at Barley Courts Apartments in south Tupelo.
Brown waived an extradition hearing in Wisconsin and has been transported back to Tupelo to face charges of Aggravated Assault. He will have a bond hearing today, November 10, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Lee County Justice Court.
The victim was treated for the gunshot wound and released the same night from the North Mississippi Medical Center.
