OXFORD – A Jan. 9 trial date will stick in the health care fraud case against Ray Shoemaker, Lee Garner and Robert Corkern.

Senior U.S. District Judge Neal B. Biggers ruled Thursday that he will not grant a sixth delay in the trial, requested because various defense

attorneys have scheduling conflicts.

“The court will never find a trial date that will pose no conflict of some kind for at least one of the 12 attorneys,” the judge wrote.

The trial date “shall remain firm,” he added.
