RIPLEY - Police Police Chief Scott White said two Ripley High School students face Youth Court charges after they were found with controlled substances on school property recently.

Police and Tippah County deputies using a Corinth Police Department narcotics dog checked the school campus.

One student was found with prescription drugs for which the person did not have a prescription, while a pre-mixed alcoholic beverage was found in another student’s vehicle in the parking lot.

The drug case can be prosecuted as a felony, while possession of alcohol on campus is a misdemeanor, Chief White said.

No names were released.
