This is where the new Pontotoc City Fire station was built several years ago and city leaders have been seeking to get a traffic light installed there since the station was built to aid in traffic control when the fire truck is dispatched.
The lowest and best bid came from Lewis Electric out of Flowood at a price of $99,655.
The monies from this will be reimbursed through the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
This light is expected to be installed by next spring.
